Tata Curvv EV Series X launched with new variants, 55 kWh battery and up to 502 km range. Adds more features, Dark Edition and lifetime battery warranty for better ownership peace.

Tata Motors has added a new set of Curvv EV variants to its lineup with the Series X range. It comes with the 55 kWh battery pack, which means the focus stays on longer range and a better overall equipment list. The company has also brought in a fresh paint option called Nitro Crimson, so there is at least one new visual change for people who want something different from the usual EV shades.
The Series X range is offered in Accomplished X 55, Empowered X 55, and Empowered X 55 Dark Edition. Prices start at Rs 16.99 lakh for the Accomplished X 55, go to Rs 19.19 lakh for the Empowered X 55, and end at Rs 19.49 lakh for the Dark Edition, all ex-showroom.

The 55 kWh battery pack claims a certified range of 502 km, while real world driving should stay somewhere close to 400 km depending on how it is used. That is enough for city use and also for intercity runs without constantly thinking about charging. Performance is decent, nothing over the top but enough for everyday use. Power output stands at 167bhp with 215Nm of torque.

The Accomplished X 55 sits as the more practical option. It covers most of the things people would actually use daily. A panoramic sunroof, dual digital screens, wireless phone connectivity, and a 360-degree camera are all part of the package. Seats get passive ventilation, which is a nice touch for Indian conditions. Cabin feels thought through, not overloaded.

Then comes the Empowered X 55, which is clearly the more loaded version. It builds on the same base but adds more comfort and tech. Ventilated front seats, powered driver seat, better rear seat adjustment. The infotainment screen is larger here, paired with a JBL sound system. It also gets Level 2 ADAS features which adds an extra layer of safety.
There are some small additions that stand out. Things like V2L and V2V charging, a powered tailgate that works with gestures, and lighting animations. The Dark edition continues as well, for those who prefer that look.

One thing Tata is clearly pushing here is peace of mind. The lifetime battery warranty plays a big role in that. It basically means long-term ownership worries get reduced to some extent.
