NEW DELHI, India — ZFour Technology has released an asset management feature for its HRMS platform, ZFour HRMS, allowing organizations to track company equipment and property assigned to individual employees.

The feature lets administrators create a digital record for each asset an organization owns, including items such as laptops, mobile devices, access cards, and other equipment issued to staff. Each asset record includes details such as the asset type, serial or identification number, assignment date, and the employee currently responsible for it. Administrators can reassign an asset from one employee to another, and the system retains a history of previous assignments for each item.

The asset register is accessible through the ZFour HRMS admin dashboard, where administrators can filter records by employee, department, asset type, or assignment status. When an employee's record is updated to reflect an offboarding process, the dashboard flags any assets still assigned to that employee, so administrators can confirm equipment has been returned before the employee's exit is finalized.

"Organizations were tracking equipment assignments in spreadsheets that weren't connected to their employee records," said a ZFour Technology representative. "When someone left the company, there wasn't always a clear record of what they still had. This feature ties asset records directly to the employee record, so that connection isn't lost."

The feature also includes a reporting view that shows administrators the total number of assets assigned within a department or branch, along with a count of unassigned or available equipment.

Asset management is available immediately to existing ZFour HRMS customers as part of the platform's employee records module, accessible through the web dashboard. Existing customers do not need to purchase a separate subscription or complete additional setup to access the feature.
