The Uddami India Foundation (UIF), a leading non-profit organization dedicated to empowering marginalized communities, today announced the launch of its new "Digital Empowerment Drive" program. This ambitious initiative, a pilot project set to begin in the South 24 Parganas district, aims to equip 500 underserved youth and women with critical digital literacy and professional skills, fostering economic independence and career growth.

The program comes in response to the growing demand for digital skills across all industries. The "Digital Empowerment Drive" will offer a comprehensive curriculum that includes basic computer operations, internet proficiency, cybersecurity awareness, and specialized modules in digital marketing and data entry. The goal is to prepare participants for entry-level positions in the rapidly expanding digital economy and encourage entrepreneurial ventures.

"Our mission has always been to provide accessible, job-oriented training that can truly transform lives," said Harshamanjari Nanda, Executive Director of Uddami India Foundation. "With the launch of this new program, we are directly addressing the digital divide that continues to marginalize many in our rural communities. We are confident that these skills will open new doors for our participants and enable them to build sustainable futures for themselves and their families."

The program will be rolled out in a phased manner, with the first cohort starting in October. Classes will be held at Uddami's new field office, providing a safe and conducive learning environment with modern computer labs. The initiative will also include mentorship and job placement assistance, leveraging Uddami's extensive network of corporate and community partners.
