The coastline of Puducherry came alive on the 15 February morning as many runners participated in Pondy’s Valentine’s Run - Run with Love by the Sea. The event was a unique celebration of love, fitness and togetherness. The event was held at the Iconic Rock Beach near the Gandhi Statue, with an unforgettable sunrise running experience along the ocean, celebrating Valentine's Day with movement. The event was organised by Gagner Sports and welcomed friends, families, solo runners and couples. The event has attracted diverse runner communities under the theme “Running With Love” along Puducherry’s scenic views.

The event started early in the morning, with reporting time at 5:00 AM and all race categories flagged off at 5:30 AM. Runners were running along the beach road, taking in the cool sea breeze and coastal views. The scenic view, with its romantic, refreshing touch, made the event memorable for everyone.

The Pondy Valentine’s Run has featured two well-designed race categories for different fitness levels:
● 5K Fun Run (Non-Timed) – Ideal for beginners, families and runners looking to enjoy a relaxed, fun run.
● 10K Timed Run (with Chip) – Designed for competitive runners seeking an officially timed race.

Both categories were open to men and women, encouraging wider participation and promoting fitness as a shared experience rather than just a competition. All registered participants have received an event T-shirt, finisher medal, certificate and refreshments. Participants were awarded cash prizes and trophies to the top finishers in both the men's and women's categories.

In the 5K category, the first-place winner received 3,000/- second place 2,000/- and third place 1,000/-. The 10K category has the rewards of 4,000/- for first place, 3,000/- for second place and 2,000/- for third place, with trophies.

The event, Pondy Valentine’s Run 2026, has registrations through iFinish, thanks to their smooth execution process for all participants. The iFinish stream helped in the easy management of entries across all categories for event execution and success.

The core purpose of the event was to celebrate love, fitness and togetherness in a joyful and meaningful way.
