Milan, Italy After three decades spent studying human transformation as a clinical psychologist and corporate coach, Italian artist Elisabetta Galli has channeled that lifelong observation of change and resilience into a new visual language: Sublimateria.
Sublimateria is a body of contemporary mixed media work built from acrylic, resin, charcoal, soft and oil pastel, wax, and hand-mixed texture paste layered, cracked, and shaped until raw material becomes finished form. Structure and fracture, cavity and relief, sit side by side in each piece, reflecting a theme Galli returns to often: the tension between the entropy of the universe and the quiet, persistent order of feminine energy.
"My art is a metaphor for human potential," says Galli. "Each of us can become who we choose to be. In Sublimateria, matter takes form and becomes language a visual and tactile experience that restores harmony, presence, and beauty to the processes of growth and metamorphosis."
The studio's portfolio spans recurring series exploring memory, resilience, and feminine plurality, alongside a growing collection of essays on the materials and philosophy behind the work from gold leaf and resin to recycled matter and homemade gesso.
