Tata Motors has introduced the Harrier EV Fearless+ QWD variant, priced at Rs 26.49 lakh expanding the electric SUV lineup with a more accessible all wheel drive option. When the Harrier EV first launched, the QWD setup was limited to the top variant. That made it desirable but also a bit out of reach for many buyers. With the Fearless+ QWD, that changes. The same dual motor capability is now available lower in the range, which makes the lineup feel more balanced.

The new Harrier EV Fearless+ QWD uses a dual motor setup, with one motor on each axle. The front motor produces 158 PS, while the rear motor delivers 238 PS. Combined torque reaches up to 504 Nm. The setup allows for better traction across surfaces. You feel it more when roads are uneven or slightly loose.

Battery capacity for this variant is 75 kWh. The MIDC claimed driving range stands at around 627 km. That number places it comfortably for long drives. The battery pack also supports fast charging, though charging speed depends on the charger used. There is always that variable. Another detail worth noting, the QWD system is supported by terrain response modes. These help adjust power delivery depending on road conditions.

The feature list is fairly loaded. A large touchscreen infotainment system sits at the centre along with a fully digital instrument cluster and head up display. It also gets wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and connected car tech.

Comfort features include boost mode, off-road assist, ventilated front seats, panoramic sunroof, JBL Black 10-speaker sound system (with subwoofer), 6-way powered driver seat with memory, 4-way powered co-driver seat, dual-zone climate control with voice assistance (DATC), air purifier with AQI display, Multi-mood ambient lighting (dashboard & sunroof), wireless charger, 19-inch alloy wheels with aero inserts, multiple drive modes, and smart digital lights (welcome & goodbye sequence & charging indicator), among others.

On the safety front, the SUV comes equipped with seven airbags, cruise control, electronic stability control, auto hold, front parking sensors, a driver drowsiness alert, traction control, and a 360-degree camera. It also features a Level 2 ADAS with 22 functions, including adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, and collision warning.

The Fearless+ QWD sits in a more usable position in the lineup. It is not the most expensive variant, but it brings the key highlight which is all wheel drive. Earlier you had to go all the way up for it. Now you don’t, which honestly makes this version easier to consider.
