Just in case you haven't been keeping up, there's been plenty of news inside the market this past week. To get a though now there has been a push to regulate e-cigarettes like tobacco cigarettes. In California, one of several largest epicenters for the vaping movement, there has even been talks about raising the smoking age. This bill referred to as SB140 was renounced by Sen. Mark Leno of San Francisco who stated that devices that deliver liquid nicotine shouldn't be viewed as tobacco items and that creating much more laws would be unsuccessful at keeping young individuals from using electronic cigarettes. This was overall observed as a win for the small corporations.

On Wednesday , Republicans blocked a bill that would have created e-cigarettes exempt in pre-market reviews from the FDA. This bills intent was to create it harder for the FDA to regulate e-cigarettes. Portion of the regulations which are looking to be passed are well being warning labels, age requirement, and possibly name alterations of flavors that appear to be directed at young persons. Rep. Andy Harris of Maryland felt that e-cigarettes had been getting put below a greater degree of regulation than other nicotine goods.

In other associated news, Gov. Pat McCrory of North Carolina signed Bill 286 into law that would call for warning labels and kid resistant packaging on e-liquid products. Violaters of the law, which begins Dec 1st, suffer to pay a Class A1 misdeamnor charge.
