Crowley, TX — Local entrepreneur and community advocate Jared Spruce is launching a new mentorship initiative aimed at supporting individuals in transition and helping them build paths toward stability and purpose. The program, still in its early stages, is designed to offer one-on-one guidance, career preparation, and emotional support for people seeking a fresh start.
Spruce, who owns and operates Crowley Space Station Storage, has long been known for his quiet leadership and consistent acts of kindness. His latest project is a natural extension of the work he’s already doing behind the scenes.
“This idea has been in my heart for a long time,” Spruce said. “There are so many people out there who just need someone to walk alongside them, even for a short part of their journey. I want to be that person.”
The mentorship program will initially focus on helping individuals build life skills, apply for jobs, access community resources, and develop a support network. Jared also hopes to offer workshops and community gatherings where people can share their stories and build resilience together.
The goal, according to Jared, isn’t to solve every problem, but to offer connection, consistency, and encouragement.
“Sometimes all it takes is one conversation to change the direction of someone’s life,” he said. “I want to make space for those conversations.”
Spruce is currently working with local partners and hopes to open the program to a small pilot group in the coming months. Community members who are interested in collaborating or supporting the initiative are encouraged to reach out directly.
For Jared, this is less about launching a formal organization and more about doing what he’s always done - helping where he can, being present, and showing others that they matter.
