India’s clean energy transition gained fresh momentum with the Union Budget 2026–27, as the government reinforced its focus on solar power, battery energy storage, and domestic manufacturing. Policy measures such as customs duty exemptions for lithium-ion cell manufacturing and solar glass inputs are also expected to strengthen India’s renewable supply chain and reduce project costs.
