SkillsFuture-Funded Training Equips Lifting Supervisors with the Skills to Lead Safe and Compliant Lifting Operations

As lifting operations remain one of the higher-risk activities at construction sites, the role of a qualified Lifting Supervisor is critical. This course equips participants with the knowledge, skills, and legal understanding to plan, supervise, and reinstate safe lifting activities in full compliance with Singapore's regulatory framework.
About the Course
The WSQ Supervise Safe Lifting Operations course is a 35-hour classroom-based programme offered in English and Mandarin, with a trainer-to-trainee ratio of 1:20 to ensure personalised instruction. Upon successful completion of the written (MCQ) and practical assessments, participants are awarded a Statement of Attainment (SOA) — a nationally recognised WSQ certification. The course also earns participants 10 SDU Points.
The curriculum covers essential topics including risk assessment, lifting plans and permit-to-work systems, roles and duties of lifting personnel, crane operation principles, tandem lifting techniques, use of PPE, emergency response procedures, and post-lifting reporting and housekeeping.
Who Should Attend
The course is tailored for aspiring and experienced professionals assigned as Lifting Supervisors in the workplace. Applicants must have completed a WSQ/MOM Rigging and Signalman or Marine Rigger and Signalman course, possess a minimum of three months of relevant lifting operations experience, and be 21 years of age or older.
SkillsFuture Funding Available
Participants may be eligible for significant government subsidies under the SkillsFuture scheme:

Singapore Citizens (SCs) and Permanent Residents (PRs): Up to 50% of course fees
SCs aged 40 and above (SkillsFuture Mid-Career Enhanced Subsidy): Up to 70% of course fees
SMEs (Enhanced Training Support for SMEs): Up to 70% of course fees

Singaporeans aged 25 and above may also utilise their SkillsFuture Credit to offset out-of-pocket costs. The course fee is priced at $225 before subsidies.
