Mumbai, India: Computer Society of India, Mumbai Chapter awarded Dr. Dheeraj Mehrotra, Academic Evangelist, Next Education India, for his significant contribution towards the field of Information Technology and Innovations.

The award is conferred upon Dr. Dheeraj Mehrotra under the category of “ Recognition of a person, event or company who has made a significant contribution (above and beyond the normal standards and qualities/legacy outcomes) to the wider InfoSec / Big Data Analytics community”.

The award was presented to him at Victor Menezes Convention Centre at IIT, Mumbai. The award is the biggest celebration of Innovation & Excellence in IT Industry in India and had attracted entries from some of the leading organisations, industry professionals, start-ups and practitioners from across India. It celebrates the spirit of innovation and achievement in the IT Industry and their respective fields. These awards were judged by an independent panel of highly respected judges including leading technology experts, industry gurus and industry analysts.

Dr. Mehrotra has contributed towards the promotion of INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY through his books on Computer Science as a subject for classes I to XII for ICSE, ISC, CBSE and State Boards and has developed over 150 Educational Mobile Applications available free at the Google Play Store and has been recognized by the LIMCA Book Of Records for drawing this feast. He has also received  the Best Science Teacher Award by the Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of Uttar Pradesh and the National Teacher Award by the President of India in the year 2006 at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi.
