Dwyer Street Press is excited to release DoubleHelix, the first book in The Helix Project series by new author J.L. Calder.
DoubleHelix is a fast-paced spy and political thriller set in today’s Washington, D.C. Bestselling crime writer Mike Green, famous for his hard-boiled Gestapo Joe novels, sneaks into the National Archives looking for story ideas. Instead, he finds a secret file that pulls him into a real-life conspiracy involving the CIA, MI6, a missing writer, and a possible threat to the President.
The story mixes classic detective noir with modern espionage, betrayal, and high-stakes danger. Readers follow Mike as his made-up world turns into a deadly fight for the truth.
“DoubleHelix is a gripping debut that fans of spy thrillers and political conspiracy books will love,” said Dwyer Street Press editor Sarah Lin.
DoubleHelix is available in print and digital formats.
